Rick Guidice

Appearing: Saturday, Sunday

A native Californian, Rick attended the Academy of Art College in San Francisco. At the age of 25 he started freelancing as an illustrator with many high-profile Silicon Valley clients, while still staying involved in architectural design. In the 70’s his work caught the attention of NASA and at his studio in Los Gatos he produced many full color paintings of various space missions. This work has been seen worldwide in print, museum exhibits and expositions such as The New Museum Los Gatos, Museum of Modern Art San Francisco, The Architectural Museum of Paris, France, and The Design Museum London, GB. Rick was the principal of his own firm and designed and directed the construction of extraordinary homes and living spaces and other architectural environments for many of Silicon Valley’s top CEOs, and is now continuing his interest in fine art, with plein air oil painting and travel watercolors. He has been chosen to participate in many plein air events with honors and is a signature member of the California Plein Air Painters.

Creating The Improbable.

We believe in every single person’s ability to create the improbable and to learn about themselves and the world in the process. Like any artifact worth searching for, sometimes all it takes is a bit of digging in the right place to find your unique ability. We seek to aid in this endeavor.

At SiliCon with Adam Savage, our goal is to bring together people who have long histories of creating, from filmmakers and actors, to artists, authors, engineers, scientists, technologists, and makers to share their creativity and enthusiasm. We know that the sum of all this interaction is greater than its individual parts. We celebrate the spark we get when we meet new people, surmount new challenges, exult and share with each other.
